SMUD Power Outage

Frustrations and patience can run thin when there is a SMUD power outage, it is all well and good when you are getting reliable efficient electricity at affordable rates, but when there is an outage customers need a base to report outages and other issues with the service.

SMUD (Sacramento Municipal Utility District) are the providers of electricity to Sacramento County, California who provide power using natural gas supplying renewable green energy output among other things.

Other than a total power outage leaving customers in the dark so to speak, other issues can include account login problems, website not working etc. If you have a SMUD power outage or any other problem with the service please do report them below, you can also check out the SMUD power outage map right here.

    yesterday was a nightmare trying to get power from SMUD, I live in Elk Grove Herald area and I was left with no power at all.

    The power outage was due to an unfortunate fire, according to the official SMUD Twitter account. Over 11,000 customers were left with no power. Its all up and running now though.

    I am in 95825 area code and even though i was told things will be up and running within the hour i am still without power three hours on.
